It is a pride to see how many times they are done social movements to protect and safeguard the history of a certain corner of the world, in order to preserve the history of these places, something that has happened very recently in Bosnia Herzegovina, where a group of young Bosnian archaeologists meet asking for the support to be able to create an NGO in order to protect the different archaeological sites that are in danger of extinction and they also aim to tap into global consciousness in these cases.

The idea is reflected in arheon.org, an archeology website that has been created from scratch and that since its inception has become one of the main archaeological sites for Bosnia Herzegovina. With their project they want to raise enough money to be able to financially face the registration of an NGO and to support the web with the purchase of computer equipment for it.

The registration of an NGO would directly allow Arheon the possibility to dedicate himself to different issues that occur in aspects related to the archeology and the cultural heritage of a country as rich in history as this is. It is also intended that little by little influence will be gained and help to raise awareness for the cultural protection of the sites that are currently in danger of extinction.

From Arheon they have stated that they have had to start with a website to be able to change the Archeology sector in Bosnia Herzegovina, a place where many national monuments are being destroyed, the local government does not get involved and looks the other way and museums are closing little by little.

They have stated that their greatest desire to form an NGO is to be able to fight to save and protect the country's important cultural heritage thanks to different steps you can take to be able to work with your colleagues around the world who have already cared and contacted them.

They have also created a video for the project in which it is demonstrated how archeology is being punished since many things like the Roman ruins are being detrusted and it seems that nobody cares about it and there is not even any plan to put any protection system in place.

Let's hope that little by little they will achieve their objectives and do not continue to lose archaeological treasures and the cultural heritage that this country has.

After studying History at the University and after many previous tests, Red Historia was born, a project that emerged as a means of dissemination where you can find the most important news of archeology, history and humanities, as well as articles of interest, curiosities and much more. In short, a meeting point for everyone where they can share information and continue learning.
