The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities reported yesterday that a team of archaeologists from the Austrian Archaeological Institute has found a wall in the ancient capital Avaris (during the hicso period), in the northern region of the Nile Delta, with an age of 3,500 years.

According to him Minister Mamdouh el-Damaty, who did not specify when the discovery was made, this great «fence«(how they called it), it could have been part of a wall in the city of Avaris.

This wall, located in Tal el-Dabaa in Sharqiya province, is at least 500 meters long and 7 meters thick and was built with sandstone.

After studying History at the University and after many previous tests, Red Historia was born, a project that emerged as a means of dissemination where you can find the most important news of archeology, history and humanities, as well as articles of interest, curiosities and much more. In short, a meeting point for everyone where they can share information and continue learning.
